Jean Marc Marchand - 1er RCP Jebsheim Alsace Décembre 1944

Here is a custom upon the 1er Régiment de Chasseurs Parachutistes in Alsace during the offensive in 1944. The 1ere RCP was a French paratroopers Regiment instructed by the US paratroopers in Morocco. They where equipped and trained exactly like the US paratroopers regiments. Unfortunately they have not been dropped. They have been used as infantry. After the Paris liberation a lots of young parisians have been incorporated after a very difficult formation. This figure is a tribute to those very young men that suffer France Occupation and joined immediately the French Army for the liberation of their country. Respect for them.
